Take in the breathtaking turquoise waters of St John and the surrounding barrier cays of the Virgin Islands. Explore remote, off the beaten track areas in our inflatable dinghy with fully guided snorkeling. Our trips are private and customized so that you can experience the Virgin Islands your way. With everything you could possibly need, including snorkel gear, drinks, snacks and gourmet lunch, you will be off on a truly, one of kind adventure.
Tipitina is truly in a league of her own! She is a 55-foot custom built, high-performance monohull with all of the creature comforts. Designed by Britton Chance, one of the biggest innovators of the 70's and 80's America's Cup boats, including "Stars and Stripes," which won in 1987. In 2016, Tipitina went through a $1.2 million refit where an aft cockpit and sugar scoop were added, which is great if you want a bit of privacy on the charter.
Pearl and Oyster
Our boat dogs have lived aboard Tipitina since they were puppies and have more than a few stamps on their passports...the Bahamas, Puerto Rico, British Virgin Islands, St Martin, St Barth, St Kitts, Montserrat, Guadeloupe (their favorite), Dominica, Martinique, St Lucia, Bequia, Carriacou and Grenada.
They love fishing, chasing iguanas, tummy tickles and kisses.
Bonnie and Matt
Your Captains
Matt was born and raised in the port city of Fremantle, Western Australia. He rarely strayed too far from the salt water, growing up boating, fishing and diving. Matt has been around boats his entire life. This took him all over the world, working on vessels of all shapes and sizes. While working a shipwright job, Matt met his beautiful wife Bonnie in Seattle. Bonnie grew up in Jackson, Mississippi and has lived all over the deep South before venturing to the Pacific Northwest as a travel nurse. After sailing the cold Puget Sound, Matt and Bonnie went searching for sunshine in San Diego, where they fell in love with racing and sailing. One night, after a few rums, they decided to buy a boat and sail the Caribbean. Matt and Bonnie are both licensed USCG Masters Captains currently residing in St John, USVI. Bonnie is also a Registered Nurse and Matt a Certified Rescue Diver.
